4. The Caregiver

Mothering, Caregiving, Teaching children caregiving, instinct to care

The Caregiver is one of the most important Archetypes to our survival. Often, it is also one we overlook.

Young children need to develop their Caregiver in order to begin taking care of themselves — to dress, wash, and prepare for the day.

Older children need to learn how to take on caregiving for others.

As we develop into young adults, we can take on more tasks in caring for others.  We need to gain experience in caretaking in order to be ready to care for our own children.

Who are the Caregivers in your life, and what can you do to thank them?  How do you take care of yourself and others?
