Most people don’t like to admit that they have destructive urges. But throughout history, humans have acted as The Destroyer at times.

The Destroyer is usually a response to strong feelings. Your Destroyer may come out when you feel angry or sad.  It may also come out when you feel scared or threatened by someone or something.

Knowing your Destroyer is key to keeping yourself calm and safe.  To build a healthy destroyer, you need to learn to listen to your body — it is telling you important things.  If you are growing hot with anger, if your heart is racing, it probably means you need to do something to cool down.  Learn to listen to your Destroyer and find healthy outlets for strong feelings in “Know Thyself:  a Kid’s Guide to the Archetypes.”
