12. The Fool

Three Fools of Carnival, Pieter Brueghel, 1642

The Fool is the part of our identity that returns us to the beginning — finding joy and laughter in everyday life. The Fool is also the rule-breaker.

The Fool is expressed in characters who make us laugh. Characters like Bugs Bunny, Spongebob, and Snoopy all express aspects of The Fool.

Fools love freedom, but too much freedom can be dangerous. Learn more about The Fool in “Know Thyself: a Kid’s Guide to the Archetypes.”
